Yeah, the only cars I know of with sticks are sports cars and trucks. While I appreciate the fun of driving a stick, with the traffic around Seattle I prefer an automatic just so I’m not constantly pumping my left leg on the clutch.

No worries, I didn’t think you meant me but I did want to clarify my position. :)
I think the 4 is unnecessary, though I see what you did there. Lose the A/4 and think of the weight savings from the paint job on the fuselage to the paper material in the cabin. The mileage improvements could be as much as .1 miles per 10 gallons. Hundreds of pennies will be saved across the fleet! LOL
Where I live we have contractors that deliver mail. I’m not sure they would pick it up, though I did notice my neighbor’s flag up the other day. Since the PO is close by I just drop them off there.
Some people will take pot-shots at the younger generation but I’m not that kind of person. I do think that it’s reasonable to know something about past history, including technology, if for no other reason than to appreciate what technology has done for us.
Turns out not too hard. You can even do that now. Create a short-cut and in properties there is an option to add a key combo to open the app. That kind of makes me wonder why I need a dedicated key for MS Office apps when I can create my own short-cuts.
I’ll have to check that out. Not much of a SQL guy but I could learn.
For home users you are very likely correct. As I said, it’s been a couple of years so I’m sure the products have improved. We do some collaboration with Excel via SharePoint and Teams. I don’t use those features a lot as I am not as knowledgeable about using them (along with my co-workers). And those features are not…
Super Bowl versus some backwater Casino. National TV vs iPhone cams. Plus we got to see some Jackson nipple if even only for a microsecond.
Good point, you know if the situation were reversed people would be screaming bloody murder. So if the pimp beats his ho, that’s OK right? She broke the law in the first place.
Cher (and others) does like 10 wardrobe changes per show. They do it fast and it hardly slows the show down.
Never used LibreOffice but I was underwhelmed with Google’s office products when I tried them a couple years ago. The Sheets program was very sheety and didn’t seem to have near the functionality that Excel has.
Not sure if your mail is delivered by contractor or not, but this article from USPS seems to indicate that they will pick up mail, under 13 ozs at least.
It’s not so much not knowing how but more not appreciating the anticipation of waiting for that letter you know is coming to your mailbox. I recall my college days where I faithfully walked to the Student Union building where the post office was on campus. Every day looking for a letter, from somebody. When you got…
I know, I know—who even mails a letter these days?
Hmm, and you don’t seem to have good reading comprehension skills. I didn’t forget any other expenses. We’re not talking about other expenses I’m responding to the comment that $800 for housing isn’t cheap.
The whole point about moving people is to put them in a place where it is less expensive to house and care for them. That’s where the infinite money comment comes from. Why not optimize the dollars we have chosen to allocate so that we can help as many people as possible?
That’s pretty harsh for someone who was actually trying to think of a workable solution. Face it, there is not infinite money to address the issue of homelessness or any other social issue. Seems to me you’re the one living in a cave, or at least a fantasy world where everything can be magically fixed with more…
Well, to be fair, I’m not saying every job at Amazon is a dream job. And like any big corporation I’m sure they have room to improve. But what I would like to hear about is specifics. I hear things like we have quotas to fulfill and we can’t take bathroom breaks, etc. What are those quotas and are they reasonable? How…
There are jobs in Yakima and the surrounding area. The Tri-Cities area (not really Yakima) is growing in leaps and bounds. There are tons of good jobs and more coming every day. The wine industry is blowing up over there and that brings construction jobs, tech jobs, restaurant jobs and much more.
