Would you pay someone $100 to cut your (tiny) lawn? Would you pay $1000 for someone to wash your (old beat up) car? Why not? Because the job isn’t worth paying that much for.

Since I am unable to edit the above, i wanted correct my point about the increase. I forgot to multiply the weekly cost over a year. My bad.

Hemsworth told Variety. “I was running out of money...”

I don’t think serving in the military is “giving” people anything. They are earning it. Likewise a scholarship is something earned, not given. Running Start is giving them a money for education, sort of like teaching someone to fish rather than just giving them a fish. All very different than paying someone a wage not

Doh, I forgot to multiply. Thanks for the correction.

Well, we already have some ways to get skills you can leverage for better pay. In the State of WA we have running start in which you can get 2 years of college paid and an Associate Degree when you come out.

Technically some of that maintenance would be tax deductible.

Why don’t they spin off, write their own app and start their own ride-share service and pay each other $30/hr?

The reason Uber has such a high turnover rate is because some people get it and some people don’t.

First off minimum wage (and below) workers make up about 4% of the total workforce. Nearly half of minimum wage workers are under 25. 65% are part time workers. So tell me why a 16 yr old, part time worker living at home with his parents needs a “living wage”?

Well the fact that you have skills and experience are meaningless to some people. In fact some might argue that you’ve somehow unethically gamed the system or used some innate privilege to get where you are. The fact that you have worked your way to a better position in life compared to many others is abhorrent to

According to the article there are some difference, though not to the naked eye. But, let’s be real, most people couldn’t tell a real diamond from a CZ.

No, I’m saying natural diamonds take time to make and they are unique because no 2 diamonds are the same. Since I cannot go out and reproduce that exact diamond in a short period of time it makes the one I have more valuable. And from what I understand the earth isn’t coughing up to many new diamonds these days.

Uh, that’s not the same is it? Are there naturally produced pyramids?

I understand what you’re saying, although, I don’t really feel like we’ve been inundated with diamond commercials unlike say car, cosmetics, food, clothing or entertainment (movie/TV) ads.

I don’t agree for this reason, nature takes time and time is money. I can crank out plastic roses all day long, rain or shine in just about any location. You might grow roses in your back yard, unless you live in Alaska or maybe the desert and then it might not be possible due to weather conditions.

Because I can manufacture man-made diamonds all day long, perfectly in any shape, size or color I want. Nature takes a lot longer and the results are less perfect. The fact that they are made through a natural process with unpredictable results makes the supply less and low supply generally means high price if it’s

I get the similarities but I would advise people in the same way, first off, if you cannot afford the payments don’t make the purchase (college or diamonds). Second, some people spend far too much on college for the degree they studied for. I have no sympathy for them. Sorry, they should have known better or their

First, I don’t know what student debt has to do with diamonds. Second, do you really think that the people of the world are so easily fooled by diamond companies? They way you tell it we’re just one step away from becoming zombie warriors and having the diamond companies send us out to take over the world. I don’t

In fact, if I recall, some “car seats” have bases that are designed to be used in different configurations depending on the age of the child. Usually for infants the car seat is very reclined and turned around backwards.
