the two countries both maintain stockpiles of nuclear weapons
Yeah communism never enslaved anyone. I mean that Berlin wall was to keep all those capitalist out, right?
Why is it a “bad” card?
I may do just that. Still 2 years is a long time. It really depends on whether there are any new games I want to play that need more GPU. Right now it’s not a problem
Oh there’s no “loyalty” per se. It’s working so I’d rather spend the money on something else. The 1660 is attractive for the reasons I’ve already stated. Doesn’t mean I’ll buy one but when I run into a game that I can’t play on the 970 I will look at an upgrade. It’s just a matter of whether I have to upgrade…
Well one could argue that some taxes do indeed pay for some people’s poor choices. I agree that is not how taxes should work. Taxes should be gathered and used for the good of all people. And while I’m sure you can make an argument that a healthy population is good for all people it is not the purpose of the…
Well, thanks for the name calling. That surely was an eloquent rebuttal of whatever post you were referring to.
Based on what measurement. 7 of the top 10 drug companies are US based. The US is the largest producer of drugs in the world, Japan is second. According to this article the US is first overall, 7th in government R&D allocated to healthcare.
I agree on 4K, nice to have but I don’t think you’re really gaining that much, at least for now. That will change over the next couple of years.
No it’s not but that as some sort of explanation or excuse is a pretty weak argument. So when someone tells you rich people pay fewer taxes your answer is...Life isn’t fair? Or when someone tells you white people have more opportunity than blacks....life isn’t fair? Or when people point out the gender pay gap...yep,…
No doubt there are performance differences. Benchmarks are good as a comparison tool, though I would say actual game performance is what I care most about.
Very similar to my setup. Same CPU, same memory, same GPU. It performs well most of the time but occasionally in some games I do get some graphics lag.
Yes that is a factor. I am gaming in 1080P which is another reason I think the 1660 will be more than fine for me. Down the road when I go 4k or whatever I’ll definitely want more GPU.
The problem I see is while these things are needed for life I don’t believe that society owes them to you. In other words, I don’t owe you any food or water and I’m not going to go out and get it for you (unless you’re incapable, eg handicapped, of doing so for your self). You cannot enslave me to your need for food,…
While I understand what you’re saying, to me specs are useless. What matters is performance. Based on the article linked below the 1660 and the 2060 (there doesn’t seem to be a Ti version available) are about 10% apart in performance.
Well in my case probably not. At least not yet. Still my memory isn’t the latest and fastest (DDR3) and my CPU is a few generations back so I probably won’t get top benchmarks out of it.
Americans pay the highest drug prices in the world for absolutely no good reason.
Food, water, toilets. I can’t imagine there’s much left at this point. The obvious question is why can’t they do something to get these people off the train? Snowmobiles, helicopters, horses? Isn’t there some way to move these people back to the town or somewhere else? Surely they could airlift in some water and food.
For me the 1660 is interesting. Since my mobo is a few years old I don’t necessarily want to spend a ton of money on a graphics card that won’t achieve it’s full potential. And since I am likely to do a new build in a couple of years I don’t want to spend a more money on a card that will potentially be less powerful…
