Well I though they may acknowledge that this is fucked up. But whatever.

I think we now know who the racist, dummy is here.

No, this is about a person who claims they were attacked and now we know the whole thing was fabricated.

Well, first, whatever happened to government transparency? Second, Jussie brought this upon himself.  And now we know he wasn’t the victim of a crime, he was the perpetrator.

I notice the people condemning people for questioning his story are noticeably absent. Figures.

Because he said he was talking to his agent at the time of the attack. By releasing the phone records that information can be corroborated

And it appears more and more that he did lie about this.

I guess I’d like to see some actual numbers on how automation is reducing their customer base. And as has been shown throughout history, automation generally doesn’t “eliminate” jobs. It does eliminate some menial tasks but it also creates other, higher paying in some cases, jobs.

Yea, it’s hard to say what those rollbacks are tied to but overall they have to be tied to the company’s cost and profit objectives. If they get tax breaks that help reduce cost I’m sure some component of that does get passed onto the consumer. Maybe not as much as people think it should but I’ll bet it’s not zero.

Since when it is the responsibility of any business to maintain the public welfare? That IS the job of government, not business. If people need assistance they need to get that from their government.

No, my logic does not say that we should see price drops. However, Walmart has a whole campaign about dropping prices so maybe there is a connection.

For 1) you’re not subsidizing the richest man on the planet, at least not entirely. Other people are stockholders in Amazon and Bezos only owns 16%, not even a majority. Furthermore, from what I saw of the deal, NY (city and state) give up to ~$3B in tax credits and subsidies. Amazon in return invests $2.5B in the

I understand what you’re saying about credits, though I do believe that there are some actual cash payments. If you read up on the deal the money comes from various sources, some are tax credits but about half are grants or subsidies which I take as actual cash payments.

And how do you propose that to happen? You do realize that much of their wealth isn’t in the form of salaries, but rather stocks or other investment vehicles. In order for them to “share” a little more of the burden it would mean increasing wages and benefits at WalMart and that would more than likely cause an

Well I’m not a lawyer so my legal advice is worth every penny you pay for it. LOL

Corporations don’t pay taxes, their employees and customers do. You can get more money out of Walmart if you want, but that will only result in a rise in prices. Ultimately transferring the cost to the customer and not to the corporation.

I’m not so sure one sentence, out of context, constitutes any sort of copyright infringement. I’m sure there are any number of sentences that you will find across many, many publications. Also, I’m pretty sure any phrases that are in “common” use are not copyright-able.

I think this whole discussion is funny. I have to wonder, in pro Football, Basketball or Baseball, do the players tip out the clubhouse staff 10% of their income? Do you think Tom Brady tips the water boy, 10% of the $20M he makes?

problem with capitalism and how it “rewards” only certain people in society.

It’s customary for golfers on tour to give their caddies a 10-percent cut of their tournament winnings
