I’m genuinely curious what changed.  Had to have been some kind of bribe to bring Graham on board.  Or maybe he just sees which way the wind is blowing w/r/t Republicans opposing Trump?  I’ll say this for Trump, he’s been very effective at controlling his own party.  Most Republicans who speak out against him end up

I didn’t say anyone should be shot. I said they deserved to be shot. The entire point of my comment was that there’s a meaningful distinction between the two. Tucker Carlson has used his position of influence to help implement an oppressive system with policies that kill thousands, imprison and impoverish millions,

First of all, Tucker Carlson absolutely deserves this, and much more. His wife is complicit, too. They shouldn’t get to profit and live a life of luxury from being racists and bigots. They deserve to be dragged from their home and shot in the street.

I almost always go with Private Selection when it’s an option.  Sometimes it’s not even cheaper than a comparable name brand, but I still buy it.

They haven’t given up, they’ve just switched the venue for their fight from congress to the courts. The same courts that have been loaded up with conservative judges over the last 18 months. The plan is to dismantle it piece by piece with lawsuits that would potentially be decided by the Supreme Court.

But why go out of your way to reassure those voters that their reasoning wasn’t racist?

Pence is horrible, and from a strictly policy standpoint, much more dangerous than Trump. He was the governor of my state, and before that, the congressman from my district. I know full well how terrible he is. But at this point I'd still take him over Trump. Pence is far too milquetoast to evoke the hatred from the

Yes, he will.  There was exactly one reason Trump fired Sessions.  If his replacement isn’t going to take over the Mueller probe, obviously he’ll be gone, too.  There’s nothing legally stopping him from taking over.

I’m glad one of the most evil dicks in an administration defined by evil dicks is gone, but obviously this was only done to take control over the Mueller investigation.  And the Senate, which could theoretically stop him, obviously isn’t going to now.  I’m not sure there’s much the House can do.  We all knew this was

Sessions can get the fuck out now, too. Flush all these shitheads into the sewers where they belong.

Pelosi wouldn’t be my first choice, but at least she’s not afraid of Trump. She won’t be a pushover like Schumer. Her best days as a leader may be behind her, and I doubt she’ll get anything done. But for the next two years, she’ll make Trump’s life miserable.  That’s about the best we can hope for given the solid

The response to Yamiche Alcindor was unreal, even by his standards.  He might as well have called her the fucking N word.  That’s when I turned it off and went outside.

Especially now that Flake won’t be there to hold up his nominees in the Judicial Committee, I don’t think there’s any question he’ll try to jam through some of the ones who failed the first time around. It makes me sick to my stomach thinking about some of the people who will be nominated and confirmed in the next two

I live in Indiana, too. I don’t disagree about Donnelly, and how he won in 2012. But since his vote to block Kavanaugh was ultimately meaningless, he could have taken away a pretty loud talking point from the opposition. I’m sure you saw all the ads invoking Elizabeth Warren, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, Dianne

I meant the nominee would be ugly. There won’t be any resistance. He was emboldened last night to nominate someone even further right than Kavanaugh if he gets the chance.

Since Kavanaugh was confirmed anyway, I think there’s definitely a case that Donnelly, Heitkamp and McCaskill could have helped their causes by voting to confirm like Manchin did.  It may not have mattered, and there were clearly other things going on in those races.  But the Kavanaugh vote was used against all three

This wasn’t a case of supporting a bad Democrat instead of a Republican. It was supporting a possibly bad guy instead of a confirmed horrible guy.

Good for her.  She ran a great race, and there’s no reason to concede until all ballots have been counted.  Unfortunately she ran in a rigged contest, and the only way she will win is if they can uncover blatant crimes committed by or on behalf of her opponent.  I have no doubt those crimes exist, but I have no faith

There were a lot of good results for Dems last night, but it’s not hard to see how Trump’s people will view this as a win. They lost the house, which is huge, but it was also expected. They didn’t lose it by as much as many predicted. They also increased their hold on the Senate, which was also kinda expected. But

I agree with your points about IMS. It’s a great facility, and a sacred venue to me. But the F1 course was boring and unimaginative, and made for some boring racing. I’m glad they gave it a shot, but F1 belongs on a proper, world class road course. It’s a much better show at COTA.
