So...why -not- try running progressives? You literally get a win/win scenario: either the candidate defies accepted logic, wins and we gain a seat or they lose and you get to rub salt in our progressive wound.

Tom Browning, the Gary Larson–esque galoot who was the team’s ace of convenience during the late 1980's, served as the team’s pitching coach

I’m fine with letting them be free, but most domesticated animals wouldn’t survive very long in the wild.  They generally aren’t accepted by other wild animals, and they often lack the instincts needed to eat.  Most have become too reliant on humans to feed and care for them.  Maybe a better policy would be to stop

In a statewide election in a place like Tennessee, a moderate or centrist Democrat has a chance to win.  A progressive or socialist does not.  End of discussion.

I guess that’s one way to look at it.  I thought CNN made it pretty clear these are insane people who are willfully believing in bullshit.

Making jokes about white people isn’t the same as making racist jokes about black people, or Asian people, or Jews, or gay people, or any other historically oppressed minority.

If the video was about Clinton and Obama’s shortcomings, I’d have no problem with that. But the fact that the Democrats were racist during Reconstruction has zero relevance toward the party today.

I don’t disagree with any of this. But I don’t think this video even attempted to capture any of the nuance involved in the evolution of the Democratic party over the last 150+ years. What I inferred was that while the Dems may be the more tolerable party now, they actually used to be the more racist of the two, and

I’m not sure I understand the point of this video. Yes, the Democratic party’s racist beginnings are well documented. As any MAGA worth his cheap red hat will tell you, the Democrats were the pro-slavery party and the Republicans opposed slavery. Everyone knows this. While there are undoubtedly still racist Democrats

And I gathered together, they were at the time Republican district judges

I’ll donate my next Soros protest check to her campaign.

Brilliant as usual, aside from comparing winning to sex, which didn’t come off the way I imagine it was intended. The pressure will be on OSU to get rid of him. They’ll do it because they think they’re big enough to find a replacement who will win just as much, if not more.

If the airline tells you to move, you have to move.  Refusing directions from the flight crew, including flight attendants, is a violation of federal law, and will ultimately lead to arrest.

I’m not sure why they kept talking about it like they were physically moved to a different cabin.

Twitter seems to suggest there was a single, barely audible “fuck.” Whether Sky censored it or Horner pulled away from his mic seems unclear. Hopefully better audio will surface soon you’d expect.

ESPN just plays the Sky feed, right? I haven’t gotten to that part of the race yet, but they said Horner is mic’d into their broadcast today. Did Sky cut out his reaction? I saw they censored Max’s reaction to the power failure.

Same here, my DVR didn’t catch the race for some reason, so I had to wait until noon when the ESPN app made the replay available from the start. Had hoped to avoid the result but accidentally saw it on Twitter (I’m a dumbass), so I came to Jalopnik to see if it was worth watching. Sounds like an interesting race apart

Or you could spend a couple dollars more and install a duplex receptacle with 2 USB ports.

If there were any decency in this world, the party that has every intention of electing a sex abuse enabler as speaker would lose the House 435-0.  Obviously that ship sailed a while ago.
