Well the Pro has a much faster cpu than the MacBook. CoreM vs even i3 (which is like 60% of cost) is nowhere near close. Also no pen/touch etc makes the Pro (which also has a fan) in a whole another league. The non Pro Surface 3 is much closer in terms of processing power to the MacBook

He meant the new Surface 3 (note the lack of Pro) which is powered by a atom series CPU and has a smaller 10.9” display.

That means something is wrong with you i7 computer. I use Windows 8 on a C2D Macbook from 2008. It runs even better than on Windows 7.

I had enough trouble trying to install Windows on my macbook with an SSD in the optical bay. I finally got it to work after shifting the OS X SSD to optical bay and vice versa. Bootcamp was no help whatsoever (I have been running Bootcamp since my first Mac in 2008)

None of my phones even though I have dropped them some (I dropped my new iphone 6 plus when I was trying to put a screen protector on it - I kind of threw if off the desk on to the hardwood floor). But it escaped without even a small scratch anywhere.
