Well diesel jetta is about 24K and hybrid is about 28K. So combining the tech + a 3 row crossover with few decent features (climate zones, roof or 3rd row vents etc) will drive the bare bones options to at least 40K at which point you can get a loaded Explorer with nearly good mileage or a more offroadable GC.

I have a Darcars dodge-chrysler-Jeep 2 miles from me. I just took a walk around since I am currently waiting for my mom's lexus serviced (BTW front brake pads replaced + resurfacing rotors -$400! oil and rotation is extra.
