That is true. But you can easily do 50 miles on those without having to go through this hardship trying to fix a tire on a winter night. I would rather pay someone $15 to fix it.
I think people should just learn to put on the spare. Most people I've have seen on road are just sitting round for someone to come save them. I hate that half the people don't even know where to put the jack on and other half don't know they have one in their car.

I have the 4S and the update was worth the Navigation. I haven't had any problem with the Maps. I don't use Satellite view or street view so I don't miss that. I got another App for transit information.
You can disable LTE to fall back on 3G. But you can't disable 3G/faux4G (AT&T) since they are refarming their EDGE frequencies into LTE.

The is a new Onavo App for iPhone to see data used by individual apps - its called Onavo Count. You can use it without jailbreaking, so this might be helpful. I just started using it and apparently, it takes a few days to start getting results. But it works.

Windows Phone7/8 don't do rounded corners. The sharp designs do hand in hand with the Tiles.
Quality is pretty good across Windows App store. But its the number that is severely lacking. But now with Widows 8, I think it has a chance to catch up fast.
