Yes, but I will say Steve jobs was at least Grand Master level at bullshitting. Elon Musk is more mid rank at it.

People think this guy is a genius because he “came up” with the ideas of “what if cars had batteries” and “space is cool”. He doesn’t do anything but fund actual smart people in these endeavors. What he, and other people like him, are actually good at is manipulation. He manipulates his employees into believing he’s

He seems so unhinged. It’s not normal to want to try to ruin someone’s life because they said something you didn't like.

Have the Musk apologists come out in force yet or am I too early to see whatever mental gymnastics offer up? I do so love a clown show... If this doesn’t burst the bubble of the people who revere him as some God-Emperor, I’m not sure what will. What really gets me is that his idea was nothing more than a fancy,

Ego’s a hell of a drug. Every step of the way here you can see, if this guy just had a grip on his ego, he could back away from doing these idiotic things. But he’s so high on his own supply that he thinks he has to “win” every interaction, even if it’s just with some random cave diver who no one will even remember in

Oh, the controversy was definitely overblown. The media ran with a narrative that this film is a tale about an absurdly heroic incel warrior of some kind, and it’s not. Not to mention how many supposedly liberal journalists adopted the Republican talking point that violent media is the real cause of mass shootings.

It’s actually pretty good

Time to remind people once more that James Holmes was not dressed as the Joker and was not influenced by the Joker according to several of his psychiatrists.

Maybe it's just a genuinely good film...

So before the film was released, “It’ll bomb!”, “Who wanted this film?” and “What’s the point?” were the fanboy cries.

Honestly it felt good that my theater was packed(couple of hundred people or so). I thought about how people wouldn’t let past tragedies affect normal activities, at the same time I’m not sure if the general public even knew about the “controversy” and safety concerns since I visit geeky sites like this.

By doing a different kind of movie with a relatively big budget for the type of film, 55-60 million, not having it feature Batman at all, sort of, and releasing it in October with a R rating. There was a lot riding on this film and it seemed to have paid off. The reason they were willing to take that risk was because

Imagine if there was a Mr. Freeze movie instead? The American media would be in a frenzy about the the threat of white guys being inspired to constantly use ice puns after veiwing that picture. I’d make a joke about the adverse effect of a Condiment King film, but Mayochup is already a thing.

Well-deserved, IMO

Really glad to read the film did so well. Not just because I personally loved it, but also because it was a risky movie to do and hopefully this incentives the studios to try more different things with their superhero properties.

Why would they, the flavored vapes are totally unregulated and violate the law that says the tobacco companies cannot market to children. Plus all deaths are not from cannabis vapes.

It appears they’ve done it — nostalgia finally done right! I’m tired of seeing my heroes turn into selfish shells of their former selves. From Kirk’s complacency in the Nexus, to Han’s abandonment of Leia, and especially Luke’s blue-milk fueled island self-imprisonment — the torchbearers of sci-fi legacies seem to

I’d add to this that the film makers also seemed to be aware of the risks involved and went out of their way to avoid any moment where it would feel like glorifying Arthur, from giving his those moments of awesome as even his delusions were framed in a way that made it clear that it was just his fantasy about being

You’re focusing too much on how this Joker compares to the Joker from the comics. I see them as two completely different things, and I think the film makes that clear. This isn’t a comic book accurate Joker origin story. It’s a film using the idea of “the Joker” to explore themes like mental health, income inequality
