Same-yness is something that keeps me from going back to No Man’s Sky again. There is really only about a dozen or so actually unique planet types in that game, and the creatures all start looking the same after a short while too.

It really is the former, grinding and running around hatching eggs in 3/4 games is not what the competitive Pokémon scene is about. The competitive scene is about strategizing, planning and reacting to RNG, not about how many times do I beat a game to get the perfect Enamorus

Upload a team for a competition, allow the player to make any stat modifications that they want that will temporarily last the duration of the competition, and then lock the team in once the player has made their decisions. If the rules are that people need to grind in order to play competitively, those are really stupid rules.

I’m with a few of the others here. It’s against the rules, but as long as you aren’t surpassing the actual possible limits of what a Pokémon should be I find it hard to call it “cheating” specifically.

I do not see this as cheating. At the highest level this is about the metagame and mind games and bluffing and optimizing their characters. Having someone grind that out in a game is total crap.
