I shamefully had no knowledge of Knives Out until very recently but it has subsequently leap-frogged to the top of my "must watch" list. 

I agree, but I’m also happy he’s raking in all the plaudits for Knives Out at the exact same time this is happening. 

I enjoyed the media blitz the past few weeks where it shows that not only are they retconning some of TLJ, they are trying to gaslight the community into thinking they actually had a plan for this trilogy in the beginning.

Exactly, they don’t look like Star Wars movies. I don’t know enough about film study to put my finger on what it is exactly. The story films, Rogue One and Solo, pulled it off a lot better than the sequels. Of course The Mandalorian absolutely nailed it.
