I’m a software developer. I heard from more than one person who either work for Apple, or work within the Apple ecosystem that Apple’s philosophy is that testing is secondary. I’ve wondered for AGES if that attitude would catch up with them. Maybe this time?

At least we can use an ad blocker for ‘classic’ advertisements. Its when the content gets mixed with the advertising that it gets all icky. Its why I hate most YouTube videos, and why I’ve stayed away from Insta so far.

The OP is pointing out that Apple could have used modifiers on the emojis to add a mustache and red hair to the dude emoji. Its all supported in the spec and how most other emoji enabled platforms do it (i.e. slack, messenger on android, etc.)

I haven’t run into those problems at all, but I’m using a recent Android device. By any chance were you casting from an Apple device? The drop off in features from an Android device to an Apple device is significant.

Also most of the competition now has a proprietary remote and no IR based universal remote compatibility. To me, my phone (or my voice!) is the new universal remote. Using a remote is old school.
