We need a banana for scale.

Damn! That landing was the most impressive part of the whole routine. Someone forgot to tell him he wasn’t flying a helicopter!

As an aerospace engineer, and a helicopter pilot, I can confirm that helicopters do indeed fly via some sort of magic.

Looks like a rotor-over (like a wingover...but helicopter) and the camera angle makes it look funky. It turns to the right because at the top of the arc, you’ve got minimal torque on the rotor head, so you need to push the tail around with the tail rotor. In a Sikorsky, you rotate to the left because the rotor turns

No black eye, no peas?

Why do the crazy people always take their clothes off?!

2. The position of the front plate and the arrangement of the name is bound to make our OCD readers have some fits.”

Nor a Toyota, because they’re grounded to the ground.

Ummm..... in your effort to be offended, you missed the actual point of the comment. The whole analogy reads:

“...overpriced marshmallow treats?”

Before I clicked the “show replies” button, I was so hoping this was the sole comment.

I want to puke just watching that clip!

So you can tell the boy robots from the girl robots, of course!

Oil, brakes, spark plugs, tires, a set of belts, and two O2 sensors are all mine has required in 13 years. I changed the timing belt and water pump at 110,000 miles, because “that’s what you do”, but they were pristine. Oh, and a couple of batteries, because Texas heat is brutal on car batteries.

I knew the Astro’s were screwing with me! Not that there’s any kind of inter-city rivalry between Houston and Dallas, but you win the ballpark food category for sure. I’m up there fairly often for work, so looks like I’ll need to coordinate my next trip with a home game. I’ll make sure to bring along my defibrillator!

In some cases. However, I tend to drive cars for a long time. I’m currently 13 years into a 2003 Toyota Highlander*. When I end up selling it (which may be never, because the damn thing runs like a top and has cost me almost nothing in maintenance) I won’t care if I can get an extra $500-$1000 out of a private party

I don’t know what that thing is, but it’s glorious, and I must have one immediately!
