I have the technology to do it. Take a FWD drive car like a GTi, put a rear axle out of a RWD car in the back, along with a direct drive EV motor. Of course there would be a lot of fab, but more Fab has been done in garages all over the USA. Something as simple as an Ardunio could convert the 5v signal from the stock…

I say yes, but it may not be rated to tow 2200. Assuming you are in the US. Cars must pass emissions testing with there max towing limit figured in. A lot cars in that are sold in Europe and US will have a tow rating in Europe, but not the US.

Love my VW TDi, but they are not for casual owner. You really need to know a little about the cars to keep from getting ripped off on service and repairs.

I went to look at these in mid Feb hoping to buy, but decided to wait until a better selection is available. the dealers have very few in stock, and most are 4 cylinder models. My local dealer had over 40 full size trucks and only three Colorados.

5 speed check, Turbo, check, Diesel, check, sorry no brown and no AWD. Still love it. has FMIC, aftermarket Hybrid turbo, larger PD150 injectors and pd150 intake. I think I'm around 170 hp and 300-325 torque.

This article is deadon. No reason to be afraid of these cars if have common sense and are willing to do the leg work. If you are not willing to put the effort into learning about the car, and doing the research you will get bent over in a hurry!
