That beats the 2002 LeSabre I saw on our local lot for $6,000.

I test drove a Mitsubishi Mirage because of how badly it was being ripped on by the auto critics. It can’t REALLY be that bad, right? Well, it was literally the first time that I’ve ever driven a car that begged me to pull over, shut it off, get out and walk. This is coming from someone who drove a Chevy Aveo and…
As much as I love the pickup answer, I think this is my favourite.
Ford EcoSport. You would think that something this small would get good mileage as a tradeoff, but with 29 EPA estimated Hwy mpg you’d be wrong. Had one of these as a rental...slow, small, and inefficient.
Huge pickups that will never have anything in the bed. The dudes who buy these are insecure people who are overcompensating by trying to buy their perception of masculinity. Why does it bother me? Because they also drive like 14-year-old bullies who were thrown a set of keys by their drunk old-man. But hey, maybe they…
I actually had one of these as a rental a year ago, and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was. That doesn’t solve the whole “most of the drivers are lunatics” problem, but I think that applies more to models that are 5+ years old anyway.
Mitsubishi Mirage. New for $15k sounds enticing. But if you love yourself and family, buy a used $15k car.
Yes, of course, YMMV.
This is going to make my 93-octane fill ups a bit more painful.
Pretty sure the lead picture is Star City outside of Morgantown, WV.
This is going to cause problems when people put the wrong fuel into vehicles that can’t take it.
I’ve never paid a hidden fee on any car, new or used. Granted, it does depend somewhat on what part of the country you’re doing business since there are regions where shady practices are commonplace.
Since most people won’t own both, I don’t see the problem with them being similar.
It probably wasn’t a major priority, as it probably wasn’t a major issue. It’s likely only coming up now due to current prices, and possibly it getting spread on the internet.
“As far as I knew, Costco gas has always been for members only.”
“I can’t see waiting for 20-30 minutes just to save a few $$. You’ll see them spilling out into the street, all waiting.”
I attended a livestock hauling course where they said swerve if it’s a moose drive straight if it’s a deer, of course I encountered an elk a few weeks later ( I swerved)
Sadly this. Coworker swerved to avoid a deer once, went off the road and hit a tree. It wasn’t a new car so ended up pretty much totaling it but insurance wouldn’t cover because “he” ran into a tree. If he had just hit the deer, it would have been an “act of God” and covered.
Perfect visibility, straight line, already almost out of its lane and no attempt at avoidance? This driver needs a drug test, BAC test and logbook check... Either high, drunk or asleep!
Price and features is what steered me and the wife from getting electric this go around. To get a similarly equipped electric it was going to be around $12k more and it would still be missing something I considered essential, a decent tow rating. Range wasn’t even a deal breaker for us. We bought an SUV because a…
Also, the plug-in hybrid RAV4 is pretty awesome with this trifecta:
