The only reason to buy a Mirage is if you can’t get financing on anything else. That has been Mitsubishi’s marketing plan for decades.

You can get a CPO fully loaded Honda Fit for the same price.... but alas some people will always want to buy new no matter how bad their financial situation is...
unemployment must not occur within the first 90 days of ownership
No motors in the back of those Hondas.
Agreed. It’s just so sad to read about people with such poor financial acumen that this kind of dealer behavior even exists. As a society, we do a terrible job of educating people about money/credit/savings, etc. I suppose it’s one of the main reasons poor people tend to stay poor.
I’m not usually a big government guy, but some state sponsored financial literacy classes offered free of charge would probably be a big net benefit to society.
Imagine my surprise when I just learned that Mitsubishi sells more than one model in the US.
However, does them not having cash make up for their cars being incredibly bad cars that are only bought by people that couldn’t get a loan for anything else?
Just FYI, the Outlander Sport outsells the CX-3, by a nearly 2-1 margin, according to GoodCarBadCar.net. Just goes to show that people in America truly do not care about how a car drives...or looks, or is finished, or apparently anything more than (probably) lower transaction prices, space, and crossoverishness.
Those dealer emails SCREAMED Mitsubishi to me, and we see how well its working out for them...
