Excellent article Mr. Wetzel! A clear-eyed and informative analysis of the facts on the ground, without any political posturing criticism of Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin or unfounded leaps of logic or speculation things I don’t agree with. This is what FA needs more of.

“What Foxtrot Alpha needs is more not being critical of Donald Trump”

It’s a statement of fact. Russia has in fact invaded Georgia and Ukraine. It still holds Transnistria. It tried to kill the leader of Montenegro. It pushed Lithuania and Sweden to restart conscription.

Uber is a shit company that provides a worthwhile service. Does providing a worthwhile service mean that we shouldn’t call them out on their shit?

Every time someone examines something critically, they are smearing it and I’m gonna get real annoyed! I swear!

Not this but I was wondering about that Faraday future parking video that they had shown. Imagine you own one of those and the car is sent off to self park itself at a crowded mall on a sunday morning. People would just keep taking it’s spot because it would be so easy to spot that it was a dumb autonomous vehicle

A super hot take for Jalop: there ain’t nothin’ wrong with a Civic/Corolla/Camry.

Something’s gotta be around for making parts runs.

I’ve played the “low/super-low” allocation game for the best part of 15 years now. Getting very desirable cars (including Porsche GT cars) isn’t too hard so long as you understand how the game works, and are willing to play.

but your fine with decades of tax subsidies to the Big three who took the cash shipped jobs to mexico and continued to produce the same oldd same old crap year after year after year.

Not only do they need the help to build them, they need help to sell them and drive them. Tax breaks for purchases and they don’t pay road taxes....How are these companies not the enemy. They give taxpayers money to the rich while using the roads for free.

I think in the case of electric cars, there still isn’t a ton of money in it for these companies, and there is a huge cost to get things like the infrastructure set up, so I have no problem with the government helping to subsidize technological progress.

Mazda’s current line-up is fantastic.

Volvo is legitimately exciting right now imo

A few weeks ago I was driving on I-280 at night in San Jose during one of the big rain storms we’ve had down here. The on-ramp I usually take to get home makes you merge over 3 lanes almost immediately to stay on 280. While getting up to speed, ahead of me I see the taillights of a new Mustang GT. The Mustang starts

It’s not a good name unless they add “Jellyfish” to the end.

This is obviously nothing to laugh at…

A job is just a job. Doesn’t mean the guy wakes up every morning to be possessed by the spirit of the Volkswagen brand. And anyway “some guy at a dealership” is definitely not necessarily in PR.

You seem like the type of “mindset” that purposely misses the trashcan so that a Janitor can pick it up for you....
