I get that the main reasoning for the import ban is to preserve U.S. auto sales. However, aren’t we a capitalist society that celebrates free enterprise? If the U.S. doesn’t sell an S4 Avant or Polo GTI, shouldn’t its citizens be able to import these cars to prove that there is a market for them?
