Antibiotics are indeed very problematic and should only be taken when absolutely necessary. That's why it's important to avoid potentially dangerous bacteria by washing you hands. Anything that's been in contact with lots of different people such a door knobs is likely to harbor infectious pathogens.

Problems:

If you're highly replaceable then sure. But most employers realize that smart and skilled people look for the best offers, and fully understand that they have to keep their offer high if they want them to stay on. Loyalty alone isn't going to get their job done.

Great comment, thanks! You saved me from having to post a similar rant. The way the links are presented is totally misleading and you have to go through detailed reading of the articles, which most people probably won't understand, to come to the conclusion that it says nothing at all about what they say in the blog.

The article misrepresents stuff and links in a misleading way. Some of the links say nothing about the claims that are implied. Bottom line is that, except for gluten-intolerant people, there is little evidence to suggest that wheat is more harmful than an alternative diet. All that's left are a few people with

Perreault was a children's author writing for an intended audience, whereas the Grimm brothers wanted to more or less accurately portray folklore. And folklore, by it's very definition, lacks historical documentation.

The Grimm brother were linguists documenting folklore, not children's writers. Since being published they have certainly been characterized as children's tales, but the truth is that we can only speculate about their origins and their history of storytelling.

Yeah, I guess returned items and outdated products are a bit different. This creates a novel market situation and the conditions can be renegotiated as appropriate, resulting in potential bargains. The important thing is these bargains have to found, they can't be applied to every purchase.

If you have to remind yourself to speak with someone maybe the relationship isn't very meaningful to begin with. But maybe that's just me.

For about thirty years gamers have been paying upwards of forty dollars for games. Games have always cost about that much. Some games were shallow, some, like Square Enix games, were incredibly deep.

People will pay $20 for a USB cable and think they're getting a bargain?

If you want it to look like you use a calligraphic pen why not just buy a cheap one for a few dollars? There are plenty of fancy scripts you can do with a regular pen, this just looks tacky and would cost you more time practicing than just getting the pen.

Haggling is only a psychological trick to dupe people into thinking they're getting a better deal when in fact the price was too high to begin with, the same as "buy one get one free" offers or other discounts for no particular reason. If all vendors collude it can also be an effective method of opaque price

Competitive prices don't have much of a profit margin to begin with. If stores sell you something way below their asking price it's usually to shift stock or because the asking price was high in the first place.

You make some fair points, but

About half your article is about streaming so you need to justify the rationale.

Using a different glass can absolutely cause this problem, via untested antireflective coatings and yes, absorption. Sapphire glass is more transmissive for UV light, which would be absorbed by conventional optical glass types. The intricate interaction between all components is often quite fragile.

I tried keeping a digital note/lab book for a while. I didn't really get going and was kind of unhappy with my work, and I thought it was me. After switching to a traditional paper notepad I seemed to be taking better and more frequent notes and became more organized.
