I dont understand how the first half of your argument leads to your second.

I’m almost positive that is wrong. Sour is for detecting acidity. Citric fruits like Lemons, oranges, some melons, etc, are all technically sour, to some level.

Though I doubt this effort took much, if anything, from those efforts.  This should be mostly art team, not tech

Honest question, does steam have any exclusives that are contractually obligated to not be anywhere else?  or they exclusive in that the developer dropped them on steam, and not anywhere else?

unfortunately, that is pretty natural. When an individual can’t be identified, people tend to feel powerless. People will project on to an entire class of people just to have an outlet for their rage. It’s almost classic psychology. Specially when it deals with an other.
