I see your point but to get full benefit they would still need car 2 car communication to at least know which car to “trust” and which one not to. I guess we’ll see in the next 10 to 20 years or so.

But for this to work all cars would have to be self driving and talk to each other. It would only take one irrational rusty hooptie to mess the autonomous cars up.
