The Caprice thing always drives me nuts. You very often see one newer than what it’s supposed to be in TV shows and movies. Plus, according to Wikipedia, the Caprice wasn’t used as a cop car until they put the 9C1 package in them in ‘87. Before that, they apparently sold Impalas as fleet vehicles.

I noticed that, too. I had an ‘86 wagon and a ‘90 Eurosport wagon (first and only year with the 3.1).

My Mercury Monterey is slow as molasses and handles slightly better than a Reliant Robin, but it has heated and cooled seats, power everything, and will haul half a house full of crap while getting 20mpg. Try doing that in a Grand Cherokee.

I think it depends. In the lower-half of Michigan’s lower peninsula, the deer don’t get all that huge, but the U.P. whitetails can get massive. That being said, the last deer I shot down here was a doe that dressed out to about 140lbs.

That’s something I think most of us can get behind.

But, but, MICROAGGRESSIONS!

Like any other music genre, there’s good, well-written, well produced disco, and then there’s crap. It just devolved because everyone tried to get in the game.

They want you to park in New Center and take the Q Line to Midtown or you have to go further downtown and either look for street parking (good luck) or park in a flat lot (and get your car broken into) or find a garage to park in. Whichever way you slice it, you have to drive around endlessly to find a place to park,

I replaced a serpentine belt on a 1992 Cherokee. In order to get the belt off, you had to move the power steering pump. In the course of trying to get it loose, I broke the elbow off the reservoir and couldn’t get the hose to reattach. Long story short, all the fluid pissed out of the reservoir, burnt up the pump and

I guess they’ll C&C him in court.

The Allante is a perfect example of GM finally making a car good, then immediately killing it.

Laughs at “high boost” being 19lbs. Stops laughing when it makes 200 more hp than 23lbs on his HHR.

I seem to recall an old SCC article that outlined an AWD Isuzu Impulse RS drivetrain swap into a Storm.

Some arsonist already decided for me:

CTS-V Wagon

I don’t pack for every situation I may find myself in. I pack the things I KNOW I need: Glasses, underwear, as many changes of clothes minimally necessary, medicine. Other hygiene items you can get from the hotel. If I’m in dire need of something (like a collared shirt or another pair of shoes) I’ll buy it when I’m

The rumor around here is that Corvette will spin off in to it’s own division, with the mid-engined Vette slotting above the Z06. Small-displacement V8 (derived from the new truck engine, so, nothing new there) with forced-induction, most likely turbo. I work at a Chevy dealer in Michigan and we get a lot of engineers

...or it’s clown makeup. They are called Insane Clown Posse and the “Wicked Clown/Dark Carnival” thing has been their schtick for the last twenty-odd years. Al Jolson, they are not.

Came here to say this. The GT is a much better looking car. I’d opt for a tuned LNF over an LS swap, though.
