Oh that's fantastic. I read through the patch notes but it wasn't mentioned. Just checked the comments and saw it was confirmed so I'm excited for when I go back to finish the game

I definitely want a "quick loot" option to be added, especially after putting HFW on hold for Elden Ring. I haven't seen anything about that feature yet, nor have I seen anyone else asking for it until now, so my hopes are not high.
Seconded, but not because of the build variety, instead because I love how missions in those games are succinct and focused. They drop the interconnected world for more bite sized maps that really help alleviate the dread of the unknown in the From games. Nioh is also a bit quicker paced in terms of attacks and…
How do you know it’s not Cyberpunk 1277?
Strangely enough, I find I’m more likely to buy a game at full price than on sale. If I know I want something, I’ll just get it (Elden Ring, for example), but if I’m not sure and decide to wait for a sale, then whenever I see it discounted I say to myself, but what if it’s even cheaper next time it goes on sale. Until…
It also works in From’s favor that the games are notoriously obtuse and cryptic. I might have just assumed the quests were never supposed to end. I haven’t even started any of those quests though, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m pretty sure it does. When i logged in this morning, i saw merchant icons all over the map, and I’m pretty sure some NPC names.
I like Torrent because it is the closest any game has gotten to giving me Yakul from Princess Mononoke.
Also because I can run up to a roaming boss, whack it, check what effect my attack has on its healthbar (read: none), and then just book it until I gain a few levels.
Nioh lets you pause the game mid action. It takes 2 button presses though, and you can’t adjust your inventory or do literally anything other than un-pause when the game is paused. That keeps the tension and makes it so you can’t reliably use items that aren’t mapped to quick-access, but you can still put the…
I expected the Messengers in Bloodborne to fuck me up so it took me a few hours to look up how to get weapons only to find I had skipped them right at the beginning.
Now when I’m playing a From game I go by, “inspect everything, expect death”.
OK, but it’s not at all the challenger edition situation. It’s the coop multiplayer mode which has a series of really well designed campaign missions and a fun survival mode, and a raid mission for the campaign. It was a free addition to the main game, but it is a solid, if paired down, loot slasher thing.
Better yet, search “Elden Ring Metacritic”, or OpenCritic. You’ll see the score, not be terribly shocked because you’ve played all the FromSouls games, and then you’ll play it just like you intended to.
Like the live action Sonic design.
There are games that have issues on day one. Usually the ones that do are huge releases because the release date is set to appease shareholders, or to make sure the marketing cycle can start at the right time.
It’s also worth noting that the Deluxe edition didn’t include early access when it was first available for pre-order. It was originally just the art book and soundtrack and whatever else is normally associated with a Digital Deluxe edition. Early access was added later, and honestly was the reason I dropped the extra…
Fair point, but I had never played any of the previous games and felt like it was pretty well handled in the new game in such a way that I wasn’t like, “why is this guy so angry?”
You will not be lost. Kratos kills (most of?) the Greek pantheon and leaves to start a new life. That’s what you might want to know that happens prior to this game.
Microsoft is very close to convincing me I also need an XBOX..
So you went ahead and ignored the part where the event raised 3.4 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, huh?
He raised 3.4 million for charity during the stream. That’s what I will say.
