Insomniac stated on twitter that the remaster is a separate game and has new trophies. Unsure about MM though

I get where you’re coming from, I don’t love the design of the PS5, but I also know that I personally would prefer to have super fast load times and a quieter machine for the next 3+ (I doubt it will be 2) years, than wait for a slim or pro edition. Then when I’m ready to upgrade to the newer model, probably a year+

I have been trying to pay attention, but my one question left about the new gen is in regards to cross-gen multiplayer. For games that have a new-gen specific version, will there be a way to downgrade to the backward compatible version in order to play with people on old-gen platforms?

If that leaked video of Spider-Man: Miles Morales loading from cold to title in 7 seconds and then loading the save game in 2 seconds is any indication, quick resume seems fine, but not really a big difference from just.. utilizing the SSD in the new gen systems.

This may be the first time I’ve seen it confirmed that cross-gen play will work for a game. This is my one major concern with the PS5, since I will be the first of my friends to adopt new gen, and I’m concerned about having to keep my PS4 on-hand to play mp games. I know games like WatchDogs will have a free PS5

Pre-orders unlock it immediately. You can also unlock it through gameplay, so you don’t have to pre-order.

It’s apparently not a dumb question because I just tried it out and this is the first I’ve seen the new store page. It’s terrible. For lack of a better option, you should be able to go directly to the game page and add it that way:

I mean, all of the original trailers were a character walking around on a planet, getting into their ship and flying to a new planet. That’s what I thought the game would be, and is exactly what it is. I’m curious what you think it isn’t and should be.

On the plus side, the PS4 and probably the PS5 doesn’t shut off when you hit the power button briefly, and instead goes into standby mode. You have to hold the power button for a few seconds to power it off, I think (I usually use the controller to shut off the console, so memory’s foggy). Since the new console is

Yeah, I’m aware of that, having read the first book. Technically, it’s not a videogame show, but I do think that the showrunners took the games into consideration when creating the show. The fact that Ciri has more of a presence is one thing, but also the way Geralt fights doesn’t stray far from the games. They knew

I expect—nay, hope for—Netlfix’s The Witcher, but for AC.

I share your concern, so I have a feeling that I’m going to recruit 3 or 4 people that I really like, and sort of treat them as my main cast. If I can feel that my created character in Nioh 2 is the canonical protagonist, I can probably trick myself into sticking to one or 2 in Legion. I’m also really tempted to turn

For one, the launch offerings this time are more exciting than they were last time, despite the pandemic. The PS4 launched with a couple of cross-gen games and Resogun, and the new gen at least has backwards compatibility with enhancements to load times etc.

I love the new charms (immediately bought the “more blood” charm).

You can play story missions solo, and you can use the match making option. I tried the former, not the latter, so I don’t know how effective it is, just that the option is there. Solo would be relatively challenging, but it’s not impossible.

Nioh does allow you to filter weather a certain tier of loot can be picked up, but that’s because after a certain point dismantling ‘grey’ gear doesn’t net you resources that will help enhance your current gear. In Ghost, dismantling gear gives you resources that will be relevant across classes and loot tiers, and you

Haven’t personally seen any 8.0 bugs, so I wouldn’t expect anyone to post a “everything you thought was broken in 8.0 is now fixed so you can go back to using your PS4" article.

I appreciate the insight and this thought had occurred to me. Honestly it’s all hypothetical until I can actually lock in an order for the console in the first place.

Agreed. Especially since I am very unlikely to use the stand at all, and this is due to the massive size of the console itself. The tallest shelf in my entertainment center is 15.6", and the PS5 without stand is 15.4, if I’ve read the reports right. If I guess right, I can just slide the console into that shelf and

Yeah, they gave up on that. There was some pittance of a monetary benefit, sort of, but it felt like “if you play 1000 hours, we’ll give you a dollar that you can only spend here”
