I can’t see any real benefit of getting a Series X over just building a PC and permanently connecting it to your TV. You can still use an xbox controller and you get access to PC games and xbox games. I admit that I haven’t had an xbox or done any gaming on PC for the entire current generation (sticking to PS and the

That’s what my rational mind is expecting, but given how difficult it might be to get my hands on one (like it was for the Switch), my subconscious seems to be expecting the worst. It’d be nice to just get a confirmed price and lock in my pre-order so I can anticipate in peace.

First, “Venom Punch”, you say?

Second, I’m very excited for these new controllers, I’m really into the idea of the haptic feedback, and I’ve loved almost every single use of the speaker in the DS4, from cell phone calls in GTA5 to the very subtle wind sound in Ghost of Tsushima.

Third, I really wish they would just tell

I wish I knew what the PG stood for. I like the term masocore, but I don’t think it covers all games that I would think of as soulslike. Jedi Fallen Order for one has a lot of the souls formula, but isn’t unforgivingly hard, especially given the difficulty options.

As opposed to, say, Metroid, or Castlevania? I mean I get you, but at the same time I like more souls-like games than actual Souls games. Nioh, Sekiro, Jedi:FO, Blasphemous, and arguably Hollow Knight (although maybe that would be a Soulsvania?), to name a few.

I agree the name Souls-like sucks, but I’ve been

To me, souls-like would be basically anything that includes stamina-management based combat (which this does), and perhaps enemies that respawn when you visit a save point. The masocore element doesn’t have to be included, and nor does the combat pace, necessarily.

Dunkey’s gonna love monkey-souls.

Depending on how you play, there’s plenty of jumping and nuanced movement. I personally like to climb around on the roofs of buildings so I can get a better lay of the area and enemy movements before jumping into the fray, and that requires a bit more skill and intent than it would in, say, assassin’s creed. Sure

I’ve found myself taking a ton of screens in ghost, but I also just use photo mode to pause the game and take in the beauty. I love it.

It has one of the highest user scores on metacritic of the generation, and that score is about 10 points over the critic score. Maybe that to do with what you mentioned, and maybe it’s to do with the users that are rating it have wanted this exact game for a very long time.

There are plenty of samurai games (I know

I bought the digital deluxe version at launch, and while I’m pretty disappointed that they won’t allow me to upgrade it to the ps5 version, I also likely won’t ever play the game again, aside from playing through the 2 DLC episodes when the next one comes out.

I want to be mad, but I also enjoyed the game and the

This is what you get for dressing up like clowns as a form of protest.

Be careful what you wish for.

Animated loading screen is better than static loading screen.

I think I will just play Need for Speed Payback again. That was also a F&F movie/game, but with a different license, and the driving was generally pretty fun.

Not to mention just about every car is viable for the whole game and I love my off-road-kitted 80s Mercedes.

Pathless is developed by the same folks that made Abzu, so that makes sense.

If he dies before he leaves office, I actually hope it’s on Nov 4 or after. Biden is mediocre and the best we can hope for is a good cabinet, but he’s only more electable that Trump to moderates. If it’s Biden vs Pence... I am afraid of how that would go.

Ghost of Tsushima also uses it for gestures like bowing and sheathing your sword after battle, which I love.

Honestly, I can’t imagine wanting to use my old controllers again after getting used to a DS5. My DS4s are fine and I love my 20th anniversary one, but I’m excited to use this new controller and never look back.

My only disappointment is that I foolishly bought 4 DS4s because I thought I’d be able to convince my

Despite my better judgement, I will most likely get this game.

Sigh, I’m part of the problem.
