Yeah, definitely not the Breath of the Wild plus Pokken Tournament that I was hoping for. I know that was extremely optimistic, but even if it was (BotW+PT)/3=x I would have been pretty excited. Still at least it’s a main Pokemon game on a not-exclusively-handheld console, which means it’ll be the first I’ve played

Thanks, there was a lot of options on various menus to take in so I probably just didn’t see it there. I will definitely turn it off in the open beta.

You can ask for backup while playing solo, and anyone else playing solo will get an occasional reminder that there are parties to group up with. It is a cool feature, but the reminder was too frequent. I appreciate the timer, but I would also love to just turn it off after a while because you can join those people

I don’t know, but I’m still diggin the beats in the trailers, so that might be good enough for me.

The single player portion of the game is a fully realized masterpiece with an extremely minimal number of bugs. There are flaws in the design of the game, but many of them enable there to as many gameplay features as there are, so I can’t imagine how those flaws could be altered without losing some of the greatness of

They are working on griefing options. I believe I heard something about private sessions, but IDK.

Preach.

Hollow Knight for me is that one indie game that everyone said was great and when I actually bought it I was so far from disappointed I also began singing it’s praises to anyone who would listen. 10 minutes in I knew it would be well worth $15, 40 hours in I felt like I had not paid them enough in the first place.

That said, I would gladly pay $20 just to play as Hornet, but a whole new world to explore... this is the best Valentines Day of my life.

That’s a bit unfair, Unity had bugs at launch but the gameplay and actual assassination missions are some of the best in the series. Syndicate had a lot going for it as well. Origins and Odyssey don’t give me the same feeling as the AC games I fell in love with, but they are still good games and deal with the more

This is why i buy shitty screen protectors that aren’t smudge resistant, reminds me to clean my phone every once in a while.

I am also amazed at the vitriol in the comments, it’s not usually THIS bad, especially on Kotaku. AC3 definitely had flaws, but I remember really enjoying the general gameplay even if Connor wasn’t my favorite.

Yeah, I’m thinking i have to boot it up at least once now and play a few hours as some of the more uncommon characters just to move the needle a little, contribute to some statistics.

The final mission was patched in the original release, so... yes.

Oh, yeah, I get the general goal and can totally understand it. I honestly don’t mind not having Titans, but while the pilots are known to run on walls these characters which are called Legends aren’t able to do the same thing? To me, someone who can run on a wall definitely qualifies as a legend.

That’s fair, I’m sure it’ll still be fun for the right people and I’ll still give it a try, but I don’t expect to be drawn in by it since none of the other BR games have excited me.

That was my problem, Destiny and the Division have both learned to scale missions based on how many players are participating, and give reasonable rewards to all types of players. I only have one person I play with regularly and the rest of the time I prefer solo, so that goes in the ‘cons’ list for Anthem.

Oh no, I didn’t see that wallrunning is out... honestly what’s the point then. I feel like the major draw in a titan-less Titanfall game is the traversal mechanics, especially when everyone’s making a battle royale mode now.

Those are some surprisingly candid quotes. I dig it.

Shows how much I stopped reading the messages after a while. I didn’t notice a change in my XP bar, so there must be a lot of bonuses that you get for completing a mission. Not to mention the extremely long load times just to get the gear by going into freeplay and back to Tarsis.
