Most rich people who collect art aren’t that interested in it. Its a commodity to store wealth in. They collect the work they do for the same reason they collect Birkin’s, it holds a reputation and is desired by those around them.

I think you are giving them way to much credit concerning how and why they choose their ‘art’.

Jennifer’s Body is like a pretty good Buffy episode. You can tell the marketing sucked because there’s a built-in audience for that sort of thing but that audience never really found it. 

I have nothing to say about this except that I think Damien Hirst’s work is hideous. 

Jennifer’s Body is the only one of these I’ve seen. The pettiness of Low Shoulder making a satanic sacrifice just so their forgettable ballad can be a hit is very funny. But the film doesn’t deserve it’s recent “reconsideration”. It’s really not that good. Cody’s later writing is far more mature.

That’s separate from *the casting of Evan Peters*, and is a plot that would have played out exactly the same with any other non-Aaron Taylor-Johnson actor.
