I’m sure what Trump means is that he’ll have the federal government put resources into reducing poverty and improving the economic outlook for the poor. Not racist and oppressive police tactics that treat all blacks as the enemy.

I am genuinely concerned about the continued attacks on journalists. I read it took Putin about a year to dismantle the free press. I would not be shocked if it takes Trump far less time. He’s already talking about cutting off access and wanting to be able to approve things written about his administration.

He also made this terrifying statement: “We’re going to hold the press accountable.” That’s the direct opposite of how things work in a free nation, asshole.

No kidding. He is absolutely getting re-elected. The people stupid enough to support him the first time will still be stupid enough to blame all the problems he causes on liberals and minorities the next time around, too.

Yes, people do. The Democrats have done a bad job insuring that all Republicans have opposition, even in potentially winnable districts Republican wingnuts often run unopposed, especially for state and local office.
