Eh, my left friends and I got together last night, including two people who have been protesting Trump in Washington. There was a certain bit of ranting, especially after the drinks kicked in, but we were all in the same page.

Just wanted to brag that I finally made good on my yearly goal of gingerbread house making. It was inspired by this:

I have been reading for almost a year but never posted. Christmas this year has been hard. My Dad is visiting and I’m trying so hard to show him that I am doing OK. He comes every year at Christmas no matter what. So I have to remind myself that even though change feels slow for me it must be pretty dramatic for him.

What are everyone’s favorite ‘Christmas special’ television episodes? I like all of the ones from The Office, but I think my favorite is the one that ends with Jim attacking a bunch of snowmen in the parking lot.

Here I roasted a turkey (my first!) and tiramisu. The table is decorated, Christmas oldies are playing and my lighted tree earrings are on. Life sucks but let’s enjoy tonight. Ha! Now he’s saying now that once Trump’s in office and he can be sure the presidency won’t be stolen away from him, he wants to join the military to become a navy seal so he can fight terrorists.
