No wagon in the US, but the S4's interior and trunk are spacious. The Polestar’s cargo area doesn’t seem all that big but I haven’t checked actual specs. If it must be a wagon, then the S4 is out— in fact, if it must be a wagon, there’s little competition for the Polestar.

I’d go for an Audi S4 for less money, similar performance and practicality.

Seems like it’s been years since they showed off the Concept Estate. Was it just a one-off concept that won’t lead to anything?

I considered this, but CUVs and sedans are typically priced similarly so unless there is a significant difference in production cost I sort of doubt it. Meanwhile, trucks and large SUVs seem to have a much higher unit margin.

The appraisal. I’ve been involved with 4 purchases and sales in the last 3 years where a lender was involved, and in EVERY case, the appraisal came in low. Not tens of thousands of dollars low where the bank would actually be at risk. Instead, a few thousand here, several thousand there. It totally screws up the

It’s not automatic in a revolver even though it seems that way. The pulling of the trigger physically moves the cylinder.

If you read carefully, the equation you drew up is not what I was trying to say. In a revolver, the physical pulling of the trigger moves a round into place. In an “automatic” (yes, it’s semi-automatic) pistol, the pistol automatically chambers a round after the last fired round is ejected. Read on:

There’s nothing to agree or disagree with, I’m just saying that this is how the term is used. Read on:

In the context of handguns, “automatic” usually just means that it’s not a revolver- i.e. the gun “automatically” chambers a round each time the trigger is pulled. Contrast that with a revolver where the pulling of the trigger moves a round into place. Automatic pistols are normally legal. As for the guy and the whole

I talked myself out of an E30 M3 or a Porsche based on this exact reasoning. Still might purchase one for the fun of it at some point, but not as an investment.

You’ve got my vote. You and I are closer on the issues altogether than I am to any presidential candidate I have seen.

Whinging? Are you Aussie?

My neighbors 2 doors down might be single-handedly responsible for Volvo’s turnaround. In the last year they have purchased 2 XC90s (both T6s), an S60 R, and an S60. All brand new.

For SUVs and the like, I’d love to see cargo space (esp. behind second row) listed in the specs. This particular metric was important to me last time I was shopping for a family hauler.

I came here to say that my current Rolls-Royce is made of air and unicorns.

Yes, I'm in complete agreement on this. My reply was awkwardly worded.
