Max’s head right now:

Max is like, “What the fuck did I get myself into?”

One of the brightest minds in baseball once said:

The USSR launches Sputnik, 1957; I was eight. Yes, I’m really that old.

I was really too young to understand the Oliver North/Iran Contra stuff, but thanks to my dad's obsession with it, it's burned into my memory.

Sputnik. I didn’t want to believe the Russians could put a satellite in space before the U.S.

If you’re an NBA fan, how are you not disappointed by Durant going to Golden State? That was a great series. Wouldn’t you want to see Durant and Westbrook come back next year even more determined and go at it with them again? You think a superstar would want to beat Golden State to prove they’re the best, not jump on

Eh. His “legacy” outside of the Bay is toast. He’s the only one who value his “ring”. He already has 200 million dollars so if money is still a concern he’s a bigger dope than anyone thinks. Plus, he would have made much more staying in OKC.

One thing I love about this dude from reading about him the last several days, is how he claims he’s doing a public service by giving away the balls he catches, when in actuality every single ball would end up with other fans if he just left it alone.

Baseball? Sarcasm or not... Baseball has more parity than any league out there.

Fair point. Just don’t be one of “those assholes” that seem to have so thoroughly infiltrated your ranks so as to make the whole of your fanbase seem terrible. The 2012-18 (at least) Warriors are primed to have a six year run the likes of which are rarely seen in the NBA. (A) Don’t blow it; and (B) Be gracious.

The Yankees started buying everyone and slowly stopped winning World Series. They won with the core of young talent they developed; especially without steroids extending star-power years but even before, developing young cost-controlled talent wins out. And 2 MLB players can’t make a team.

Show me that buying a team in the last 20+ years has worked in baseball. Show me where the best players on the planet always win the World Series.

The real split is only national, trend-based macro writers support this shit. Those of us who live in close proximity to one of the other 29 teams and actually enjoy watching a team for 5-7 months don’t care about (correct) employment moral choice theory. We just care that our own local seasons have been invalidated

He can do whatever he wants. It’s just that “can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” is a pussy move.

I don't give a fuck if athletes graduate. It was a stupid decisions and it's hard to think it did not affect his proformence in the biggest game of his career up to that point. 25 year old me was tired as shit after sanding around for hours in the heat after graduating.

This whole article is about burneko not remembering anything from 9 years ago

Not exactly. Simmons didn’t say that OJ Mayo would be a bust, he just said that he would hate him.

Is it just me or did Affleck sound like he had a couple before the show? He had that early buzz going on where he was overly loud and passionate about something that shouldn’t draw that much ire out of anyone. Plus he sounded slurred a few times.

The sad part is that in Simmons’ world, having a drunk Ben Affleck on his show was the coolest bro thing. How did that make it on the air?
