I do this with all Ubisoft Open world games. I try to open up an area and then do all missions/some collections within that area before moving on. Working through my first playthrough of Far Cry Primal and Homefront Revolution doing this same thing.

I gave it a couple months and while I loved the setting, plot, and controls, their focus on pvp for any and all endgame and obscene difficulty to obtain any decent gear unless you were in a high end group or clockwork orange DZ death squad drove me away. I’ve heard it changed, but the window had passed

I’d argue the Normandy is a great “hub world” as well.
Mass Effect’s Citadel was the best hub world I’ve ever seen in a game.
