Mac App store is gonna bring some of the best apps in front of millions. I think any developer with awesome apps will love this. It's not like apple will stop allowing download of regular apps over the internets.

Because it's a transitional computer. Apple have to introduce things slowly so people get used to it. All flash memory, super thin and no CD drive is the future of all macbooks.

@vel0city: No, apple is not gonna wake up one day and totally dump one user input over another, that's not how things are done. It will be very slow transition may take 3 OS releases. Then by that time iOS will be iOS 11 that will run on anything.

Apple has a tendency to transition everything very slowly, and I don't think fully multi-touch OS is coming anytime soon. Just think of Final Cut Pro. Where is that gonna go when everything is multi-touch. So I think next OS is gonna be packed with more awesome features.
