@pranthin8or: They are coming, its just lagging a few months. Most of the dev houses didn't even take Android seriously until the explosive growth of the last few months, but iD and Epic both have been hiring android engineers and have said publically that they are working on targeting the platform

Holy shit that looks boring.

Obvious fake is obvious

@SSgtTEX: Judging by the picture, taken by a member of the public, I'd say you are wrong.

@Lazzzara: Agreed. I use the ball on my N1 all the time. Pretty sure my next phone will have a real Keyboard too, just can't beat actual physical controls.

@mikehart526: considering the average horse lives only 20-30 years I wouldn't be boasting about that.

@siwex80: "You should not have to change the browser on something you have just spent $600 on"

@thefunnelweaver: Should also keep in mind that the Tab doesn't run stock Android 2.2 for exactly that reason. They heavily customized the build so that it does work well for tablets.

@crazypills77: Considering Android's growth rate, that won't be a problem for long ;)

@olternaut: True, but this *is not* stock Android 2.2. It has been customized to work better as a Tablet. Furthermore, this will be updated to newer Android versions as they come, so it will get better and better over time.

"Costing $599 off-contract is embarrassing when the iPad starts at $499. (Update: Fair point, the iPad 3G starts at $629. But it's got a bigger screen, and this thing still sucks.)"

Or, uh, just get one of these:

Wow, revolutionary. They are using a multitouch trackpad like every other laptop these days. Amazing.

Or... just wear a helmet?

This is stupid. Look at the large chunk of ice next to the spinning bullet at the closeup, now look at the shot when you can see the bullet hit the ice. notice that they are not the same place, at all. jeez.

@38thsignal: I suspect it probably takes more like 17 seconds to paint one of those, not 17 minutes like you estimate

Cool effect, but this is pretty bad link-whoring by putting this on an iPad when doing it on plain old paper would be *more* impressive.
