I feel like today is the first shot across the bow for a coming war.

If you’re looking at departures coming in threes, you don’t have to go back a week. Deputy Secretary of State Steve Goldstein was also fired after he contradicted the White House. According to him, Tillerson was not notified that he would be fired last Friday, but only told to look for a tweet about him.

That is way too much mental gymnastics for Trump and the White House.

Honestly, that’s the only thing I wana hear. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200, do not “reveal all” to the news or papers, do not blab to your corporate buddies. Just go straight to Mueller and his investigation and start talking. I do not want to hear a peep from this guy (not that we ever heard that much, but..)…

Yes, this so much. “Bad Faith” has been the GOP philosophy for so many years. Trump is the culmination of that philosophy\strategy. After he’s gone, don’t expect some sea change in GOP operating procedure, either.

What people do not understand about this administration is that you cannot engage with people or respect people that act in bad faith. I think some intellectuals think that you can just peacefully engage a person and change their minds.

The minute they have inclusive language to protect gender expression or sexual orientation they’ll have all the bigot parents coming out of the wood work to scream about good christian values and threaten violence.

Also love the attitude that they’d rather fire teachers than just make the implication an explicit.
