The blue dye spine thing is kinda cool, but the DOSE they used to get this effect was humongous... 50mg/kg. So, for a 70 kg huuman that's 3.5 grams of dye, which is a LOT of frickin' dye! Most drugs work in the 10-100mg dose per human range.

I'm pretty sure this used to be called the "solver" function in earlier versions of excel, and it was part of a plug-in package that has to be installed separately (i.e. not automatic with standard install).

Nice job, but I dont' see the person on the right getting much work done if the person on the left is playing music. Clearly this works really well as a single person multi-use space. Love the color too.

Shut the door half-way up the stairs. The stairwell in most houses acts like a giant chimney, funneling the air upstairs. This is especially probelmatic for us because our kitchen is at the bottom of the stairs. Closing the door half-way up keeps the upper floors significantly cooler.

PLease don't let this be a call for everyone to rush out and buy a mini-fridge. Those things are seriousy inefficient. They banned them at our workplace to save on energy costs... 27,000 mini-fridges would add up to a lot of electricity!

My favorite trick (in addition to using WPA) to keep the neighbors off my wireless, is to call the SSID something really offensive. No-one in their right mind would want to be caught connecting to a network called "triple_x_midget_porn_click_her...!"
