Ok awesome, thank you so much. Had some flap steak leftover from fajita night and wanted to use it in something special. Your marinade seems awfully familar, I didn’t have any “regular” sugar on hand so i used brown sugar, do you think that will radically change the flavor?

Would pounding out a lesser cut of steak say like flap or flank steak , aid in the marinade process?

i am pretty sure that is done in case a leak in the bag forms so it collects the marinade and doersn’t go all over your fridge.
