I guess my actual point about Rudolph is this: the modern incarnations of Santa and Rudolph were created for department stores. So, it isn't a stretch to say, immersing a child in the mythology is actually a form of consumerist brainwashing. Examples: the elves, Santa, Rudolph, even King Moonracer saying (paraphrase)
