Yeah, I noticed that hot take, too. I would've thought media outlets would have picked up on it by now.

Wait, I have to stop you there. You can never out-corrupt Sepp Blatter.
Ballmer could take the Clips and move it north while taking full blame for the move. I don't think anyone would bat an eyelash, with MS HQ being in WA to begin with, so it fits with the Ballmer narrative.
If I may take a stab, I think SG is the deepest position. It's just that a lot of PGs are shoehorned into that position simply because they lack the height to be SGs. My own two cents.
Precisely because it's college. Jimmer Fredette had a 30.9 PER in his final year in college, then posted a 10.8 PER in his first season in the NBA (highest in his NBA career so far is 16.3).
Miami's metropolitan population is a bit more than twice that of San Antonio. It's actually interesting that SA has even outdrew MIA in some seasons.
And yet here you are, on a blog that's supposed to be beneath a man of your great pedigree and stature.
Some fine work you have here. +1
So good. +1
"That's never going to happen in either case if people aren't demanding it." - This is very true.
If I have to take a stab (and possibly make a reach while I'm at it), it might also have to do with the extra buying power of working males compared to working females (another disparity I wish would diminish over time). Being that games aren't exactly necessities, it might be another thing that scares AAA publishers…
I'm a guy, but I'd love to have more female lead characters. I think part of the problem is that game industry workers, even today, are predominantly male. There are luminaries like Brenda Brathwaite, but relatively few and far in between to have more stories starring women characters.
As someone who appreciates a bit of offseason drama, I do hope Wade and Bosh pick up their options. Would be interesting to see how Riley builds a roster from the resulting diminished cap space.
I would argue that he's still a good player, just not the threat he once was. I will agree that LBJ might take a long, hard look at this year's team (especially when your #2 guy looks shot on D) before committing to staying, though the East being what it is, just keeping the Heat core intact is enough for more Finals…
Funny enough, before reading this article, $10 million is precisely the kind of figure I'd think Wade is now worth if he wants to keep their Big Three together and leave some wiggle room for Riley to add decent pieces around them (or splurge on Melo while still having enough money for veteran's minimum guys).
You mean to tell me there's nothing superheroic about dragging a moribund Cavs team (save for himself) all the way to a Finals appearance?
I'm of the persuasion that The Decision was Maverick's idea and dangled the Boys and Girls Club of America charity as a carrot to help James agree to it. I could be wrong about this, though, but that's how I think it went down.
Whenever I chat with my friends about those LeBron Cavs teams, I refer to them as the LeBronettes. I know that's pretty unfair to solid contributors like Ilgauskas and Mo, but that's how I can succinctly summarize those Cavs teams of the aughts. Like you, it's impressive how LeBron carried that team, and generally…
I'll take a differing opinion and say that driving skills are less important (we're assuming a minimum pro driving skill level here for any candidate) than just having the first woman driver in F1 on Haas team, at least when it comes to getting sponsors. Just the novelty and historical value of being the first woman…
I have to wonder though if the Haas team, knowing that they won't be immediately competitive coming in, would just take a 34-year-old Patrick for the immediate boost in sponsorship and then use the monies earned there to develop a deeper, more competitive team in the future. It's a plausible scenario, right?
