Now I wanna swap the turbo stuff onto a ‘79 DJ Jeep!

No mention of Porsche’s boosting of the EA831? I’m being pedantic, but the 924 Turbo (931) deserves special mentioning. And I’m also saying this because mine is funner than the 944 I owned previously.

If this (and other brand) electric trucks can hit 600+ miles of range fully loaded, hopefully they get on the road ASAP. One would think that the long-term savings on fuel and maintenance costs would make them an easy sell for major operators, not to mention if the government gets behind them with subsidies.

No, what he needs to do now is get yet another postal Jeep... specifically a 1979 model with the VAG/Porsche engine in it. :D

Something something something ubiquitous LS Swap joke...

VW makes the Amarok in 2WD which is a traditional layout. And VW argentina also produced the hillman avenger as the VW 1500, so it’s hardly the only time ever.

MKZ is probably... fine. Also in the entry luxury category, I suggest Acura TLX. This one’s only 27K miles:

This. Until the tech is good enough to completely assume liability for driving, even if only within certain driving conditions, it should not be used.

Personally, I think the best way to fix the misuse of semi-autonomous driving is to just get rid of it. A driver should always be paying attention, but people are lazy and will take any opportunity to slack off.  You can’t wave a technology wand and change basic human nature.

The interesting thing about the Nissan version is it will only attempt to control steering when the car is going over 45 mph.

Just limit semi-autonomous driving to 30 mph. Good enough for stop-and-go traffic (probably safer than human control in that case).

I miss Car Talk :(

Are you sure? I thought was how you sent in Car Talk Puzzler answers

WHY WOULD YOU SAY THIS IN PUBLIC

Scrawl your message onto the piston of a non-fuctioning 30 year old Jeep then list that Jeep on craigslist as “free to a good home.” Dave Tracy will come a running and will find your message...Guaranteed.

It’s whatever makes GMG more money.

It’s all fun and games until a kid falls 20 feet from a futon and impales you with a Volkswagen flag. Happens all the time. Just sayin’.

Yes, thank you for rewording and summarizing the article.

Patrick, Mike got into Torch’s stash again.
