I am so lucky I dodged the bullet that was a Passat W8 manual 4motion. I realize that it was a unicorn, but a unicorn I could not possibly afford to feed.

nor did the original Mazda MPV
Oh my, a V10 and many seats. My E60 M5 waves hello and reminds you that you can’t have her.

This is a subsidy for car manufacturers (and, secondarily, to EV buyers - who I’m willing to bet are, on average, considerably wealthier than the median American).
Every EV tax credit signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.
Are the credits needed to help the EV market or has it matured?
Had a 1st gen TT with the 3.2 V6. Looked good, sounded good, didn’t handle very well (although treat it as a mini GT car rather than a sports car and it was fine), cost a small fortune to run considering the underpinnings, and was less practical than the 944S2 it replaced. It left me with no desire to buy another one.
Audi TT = Car.
Haha I remember my service manager asking me if I wanted to waste a day on Phateon or a V10 TDI when we already had another Phateon on a lift doing an AC service, with a W8 wagon getting an overhaul.
100bhp/L is nothing special. VW had a version of their 2.0L diesel making 236 bhp back in 2014; and their 3.0L V6 made over 300 bhp. The Panamera had a 4.0L V8 diesel making over 400 bhp.
BMW is currently rating their 3 liter at 394 horses, which is crazy.
I partially agree.
Is that the AWD, manual version? Oh.....
Yeah, that’s only a problem if you plan on taking it to a track or owning it in Germany.
We had a 2002 TT 225hp Quattro 6-speed roadster with Nokians for winter duty. I remember driving it from Indiana to Eastern PA through a snow storm. Guy followed me to a rest stop at one point and asked me what kind of radar detector I had. So stable in snow and such a nice engine note! Like a tasteful Abarth
