Somehow this is ok now?

The media site you gave a link to lists European specifications, including a manual transmission and describing the car as a station wagon. If it comes in brown, we might see a mass emigration of Jalops to Europe, because it is unlikely to come to the US with a manual transmission

Of all the stupid automotive trends I’ve seen in my life, the proliferation of new sub-segments of small SUVs/CUVs is by far the most maddening. I was just wrestling with the existence of the CX-3 at all (vs the 5) and now you go and tell me this?

It looks great.

It should be called “CX-3". The CX-3 is tiny, and has no interior space. The next Mazda2 based CUV should be called CX-2.

CHMSL and rear reflectors (can be integrated into taillamp) are required in Europe too along with a rear fog lamp. US requires side markers and side reflectors front and rear though.  The CHMSL is required to be mounted above the stop lamps so it probably will end up above the rear window or integrated into the

I just have to say, Mazda's red is the most beautiful red ever applied to a vehicle.

Something like that. The blue one sold for $40M back in 2010. I had the privilege of photographing it last September at the Lime Rock Historic Festival:

To my knowledge, nobody knows. I think it was last seen in 1938.

Aren’t these three valued at about 10X the price of La Voiture Noire?

Curious since you’re better versed than I am. Does the world know the color of the 4th?

And I would have invited you over for beer to help install the transmission

Wow, I actually really like this. The general shape and proportions (and the lack of a giant enormous air intake behind the door) are really working for me. Some of the details are nice, I like the 6 tailpipes and the little line going along the car’s spine

So surely Ralph Lauren is the buyer considering he owns the only known matching black supercharged Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe?

There’s only one of them.  It doesn’t come in any other anything.

Weird. I came here to say the exact opposite. I thought the continuation of the wheel design onto the tires looked really cool.

Supposedly the “Bugatti enthusiast” who is getting this beauty is none other than Ferdinand Piech, grandson of Ferdinand Porsche. I’m rather shocked Ralph Lauren didn’t put in a bid for this thing to match his 57SC Atlantic.

You’ve got a black BMW 850? Dude, I’d be falling over myself to talk to you at a party. No snark; straight up!

Fancy Kristen is appalled that the poors are allowed to look at photos of her weekend car without so much as an application or background screening.

My long suffering wife calls my BMW 850 “The Black Car” she would do the same with the Bugatti.
