Right, and I get that. Another poster pointed it out as well. The same goes for box office number. Not all of it is profit. But a quarter billion is still pretty insane. A VIDEOGAME brings in as much as a blockbuster movie. If you compare it to the records for 2015 it would place at #6 Just below minions. Think about

While you have a valid point, It’s a similar comparison with movies. It’s not like it was a flop. A quarter billion IS most definitely a lot of money. Especially for a niche game on a limited platform release. Whereas Candy Crush (as referred to earlier) was available on EVERY SINGLE MOBILE DEVICE. Very easily worth

Right, it’s never simple. While you have a valid point, It’s a similar comparison with movies. It’s not like it was a flop. And a quarter billion IS most definitely a lot of money.

Is this about ethics in gaming, young man?

Uh... 5Mil copies sold @ $50 is 250mil. They doubled what the cost was. They did better than break even, they made profit. But really we’re on the same side here... They must be hemoraging somewhere for them to act like this.

Boo hoo?

If an external hardrive seems silly, get a thumbdrive. I went all out and bought one with 256GBs... So no problem here!!

Waiting for another Gaming Industry Crash...

They keep this shit up, it’s gonna’ happen.

Highlight of my night: Shooting Luke Skywalker in the face with a rocket launcher as he charged me.

Little whelp didnt stand a chance.

I feel like they’re modeling the structure after the Triforce.

As someone who works in I.T. in the U.S., this isn’t very different from a normal company that is developing technology. Aside from the public shaming, there are security measures to prevent IP from leaking. Any auto manufacturer, engeneering design firm, can probably attest that there is a process for getting access

Fair enough! Valid points. And no worries, I can see there is a flurry of kick back of those who might be offended. I am not. :)

Didn’t even mention preorders. But really you’re right, they are the same thing. You are offered incentives to pay in advance to offset the risk.

As I mentioned in my previous comment, it really depends on your own preferences for risk aversion. If it’s from a team that you trust, you are more than welcome to help

So if the second game were just produced by a studio, you’d still buy it, right? Kickstarting is essentially the same thing. ESPECIALLY if you supported the first campaign and were satisfied, there would be less of a perceived risk with the potential for addition perks for being an early adopter.

Jump into 8!! It was wonderful!

Where’s my HD Oboro Muramasa: Heart of the Demon Blade????????

The New 52 Gordon was seemingly the same. But when bats died, and he was asked to take it on by Powers, he was reluctant. Powers explained that who Batman is wasn’t necessarily important, but it was important that Gotham had that symbol and ideal to protect it.

When this takes place, I feel like Gordon is still getting used to his role as Batman. I think he is trying to remind HQ that this isn’t a time to joke, and or reminding himself that Batman is an idea and symbol.

Much appreciated!

Fantastic write up. I always love the alternate Batmen runs. It really changes things up, and when Bruce gets back it’s even better. Just wish people could shut up and enjoy it while it lasts. Read it for what it is, not compared to the status quo.
