Right, it’s never simple. While you have a valid point, It’s a similar comparison with movies. It’s not like it was a flop. And a quarter billion IS most definitely a lot of money.

Is this about ethics in gaming, young man?

Uh... 5Mil copies sold @ $50 is 250mil. They doubled what the cost was. They did better than break even, they made profit. But really we’re on the same side here... They must be hemoraging somewhere for them to act like this.

Boo hoo?

Rob, if you’re having a hard time getting by, sit down with one of the series comics!!

If you really want to fill that gap hit Shattered Empire, or Read Aftermath!

If an external hardrive seems silly, get a thumbdrive. I went all out and bought one with 256GBs... So no problem here!!

You mean 4th time?

Waiting for another Gaming Industry Crash...

They keep this shit up, it’s gonna’ happen.

Dude... Just read Aftermath. You’ll find that a lot of those Celebrations were met with brutal force from Imperial troops on those planets, a long with a campaign of propaganda.

Face it, Fred... you’re just not with it. You’re clinging to Old Legacy EU.

Read Aftermath ya squib!

Thanks, Alpha.

Highlight of my night: Shooting Luke Skywalker in the face with a rocket launcher as he charged me.

Little whelp didnt stand a chance.

I feel like they’re modeling the structure after the Triforce.

Damn, that was beautiful... At my desk crying...

Shhhhhh. Don’t let them know what we have! They will be knocking trying to take it from us soon enough!

Pfft. Yeah, because we don’t grow ANYTHING over in the GLR.

As someone who works in I.T. in the U.S., this isn’t very different from a normal company that is developing technology. Aside from the public shaming, there are security measures to prevent IP from leaking. Any auto manufacturer, engeneering design firm, can probably attest that there is a process for getting access

Fair enough! Valid points. And no worries, I can see there is a flurry of kick back of those who might be offended. I am not. :)

Didn’t even mention preorders. But really you’re right, they are the same thing. You are offered incentives to pay in advance to offset the risk.

As I mentioned in my previous comment, it really depends on your own preferences for risk aversion. If it’s from a team that you trust, you are more than welcome to help

So if the second game were just produced by a studio, you’d still buy it, right? Kickstarting is essentially the same thing. ESPECIALLY if you supported the first campaign and were satisfied, there would be less of a perceived risk with the potential for addition perks for being an early adopter.
