Yeah, everybody likes to act as though the Marvel fanbase is a bunch of crybabies, which some of them are, but they’re not wrong that terms like “despicable” and “not cinema” sound pretty condescending to people that actually enjoy these movies.
As I understand it, a ton of lighting tweaks were made in post-production, especially where there’s CGI involved.
From what I’ve heard, the High Frame Rate technology improved a lot by the third Hobbit movie, but everyone remembered how bad the first one looked so nobody saw it in that format.
