This is a comparison of the US and English systems. Teams can move up and down the English system. You can’t do this in the US. The NY Cosmos won the NASL last year. In Pro REl they would have moved up and the Chicago Fire would have moved down to NASL.

Actually, MLS gave the media rights to SUM, Soccer United Marketing which is owned by the league and team owners. SUM then packaged the MLS rights with the USSF rights to all things USMNT/USWNT .
