The stadium deal was fantastic for the team, almost all the revenue from games days plus management of the stadium. Hauptman sold most of those rights back to the village for a cash infusion.

Problem for you personally. A stadium location is going to be an issue for someone no matter where it was going to be. Put a winning team in there and the place will be full. I know of at least 6 families that gave up season tickets because the team sucked and not because it was a 45 min drive.

Stadium is not a problem. The owner Andrew Hauptman had every right to fix the field under the lease agreement but refused to. They chose not to in order to try and break the lease. He could have fixed the field and then deducted the cost from the rent they pay.
