I have both.. and want the vita.. but I think I have to get the ps3 for local play with my husband and friends (without having to buy multiples)

if you like the tales games.. it's not the same (at all) but you might want to try the Y's games. they're fun action RPGs I like y's origins and oath in felghana I know they have them on PSN and steam

I like buying physical console games, because it means I won't have to really make any room on my console to be able to play it. I hate running out of room, and I'd rather plunk something into my system than deal with managing the data...

If you have a wii, get Kirby's Epic Yarn for your daughter. It's a great (and very forgiving) platformer for up to 2 players. My daughter absolutely loves it. She's been playing it since it's release, and still manages to pick it up now and then.
