Oh thats why

So obviously this incentives people to trade their BMWs back to a BMW dealer.

Why would it be illegal? BMW doesn't want other dealers advertising THEIR warranty to help sell a car? BMW bears those costs, so of course they want to cut the crap.

"Would have been 57.1 years, sorry about that Deepwater Horizon thing."

And yet these silly Canadians say that the Alberta Oil Sands alone have 100 years worth of dino juice left to use so...

Surprisingly, I actually agree with VS for most of this. At least, from my perspective, using a manual transmission is an automatic behavior in most circumstances. Certainly, on the track, it is more demanding - and I do, on occasion, consider if I could be faster by eliminating two shifts and taking a corner in

Yeah, when you can drive a three pedaled Wrangler through traffic while eating a Chipotle burrito and trying to find a place to put down your 'Murica sized Dr. Pepper, the whole automatics let you do things you can't with a manual goes out the window.

not really. you never were passenger to a teenage girl with a manual. they still manage to do all that shit, just less safe.

LOOOOL!

I used to agree with this. Then I bought a manual, and I still agreed with it...for a day. Then I went to McDonald's and ate my fries on the way home while driving my triple pedaled car and sent a text on the way.

This is the point I keep trying to make, but people don't like it. I'd even argue that scarfing down a double double machiatto hipsteroso latte is more dangerous in a manual because you are supposed to be doing something else, so if people are going to do it anyways (which they are) I'd rather them do it in an

Its the same effort when I'm driving a paddle only car. What gear should I be in? Should I even change? When should I change?

I agree, manual becomes second nature if you aren't a complete moron, and you never "think" about shifting.

Any proof of that statement, or are you just going to pull crap out of your ass?

Any proof of that statement, or are you just going to pull crap out of your ass?

Autos don't make for lazier drivers the same way that manuals don't make for more attentive ones. If driving a manual requires you to be that focused, you suck at manual anyways. Manual is second nature after even a few days, you don't

This. I don't very often, but I'm very capable of doing all of the above in my car. If you're an experienced manual driver it should be completely second nature, especially if you're familiar with your area.

Really?

Yo, Vic, wanna go clubbin?

Yo, Arch,

Yo Arch, I'm a let you finish and all, but I slept with Taylor Swift.
